Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Senn decided to be a dentist when he was just 16 years old. His mentor in tennis and eventually dentistry was Dr. Bob Bower of Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Senn was a nationally ranked tennis player in the late 1960’s and played varsity tennis for 3 years at the Ohio State University. Dr. Senn graduated in three years from The OSU dental school. As a senior dental student, he was selected, with another senior, to work for OSU’s athletic department and says he made multiple mouth guards for Archie Griffin, who seemed to lose his every week.
Dr. Senn opened his own dental practice, located in Utica, Ohio. He then started a group practice in 1980, that still exists today, now known as Hopewell Dental Care.
Along the way, Margaret McNally-Senn and Dr. Senn had 3 children and lived in the country, north of Granville, Ohio, for over twenty years. Molly, their oldest child, attended Smith College in Massachusetts and still lives in North Hampton, Massachusetts today. Dr. Molly is a full-time pediatrician and has three very active, young boys. Henry, their middle child, lives in Thornton, Colorado with his wife and pre-teen daughters. Lance and Margaret’s third and youngest child was Connor. Connor played soccer and soccer was his passion. He started in 5 games at OSU, before collapsing at a game at Akron University. Connor passed away that night from an unknown heart ailment. Dr. Senn and close friends began the Connor Senn Memorial Fund in 2001 and eventually raised over $250,000.00 to permanently fund a fall soccer scholarship, in his honor. After funding the scholarship, the board donated money to help fund research for “Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD)”, at the ROX Heart Hospital at Ohio State University. The Connor Senn Memorial Symposium lives on today. Dr. Senn served as treasurer of the Granville Athletic Boosters and president of the WD Miller Dental Society.
He currently lives in Granville with his partner, Theresa. He enjoys golf, skiing & traveling to spend time with his 5 grandchildren.
